Klockwurk is a time tracker for Linear. It records the time you choose to track and the Linear issue you tracked it against. This page describes exactly what that means.
The browser extension reads one thing from the page: the issue identifier (for example RC-14). It does not read your issue contents, comments, or any other page you visit. Everything else is resolved from Linear's own API using the access you granted.
What we collect
- Your Linear account details. When you sign in with Linear we receive your name, email, avatar, and the organisation and teams you belong to, so we can identify you and attribute time correctly.
- A Linear access token. Stored so we can read the issues and projects you track against, and post time as a comment when you enable write-back.
- Time entries you create. The issue, project, start and stop times, duration, any note you add, and — if your workspace uses rates — the rate applied at the moment the entry was recorded.
- Issue and project metadata. Identifiers, titles, teams and project names synced from Linear so timesheets are readable.
- A session token. Held in a cookie for the dashboard and in extension storage for the browser extension, to keep you signed in.
- Billing details, if you subscribe. Payments are handled by Stripe. We store a customer and subscription identifier and your seat count. We never see or store your card number.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your data.
- We do not use your data to train models.
- We do not run advertising or third-party ad trackers.
- We do not monitor your screen, keystrokes, browsing history, or applications. Time is recorded only when you start a timer or add an entry.
How your data is isolated
Every record is scoped to your workspace at the database level, and enforced by row-level security rather than by application code alone. One customer's data cannot be read by another.
Sub-processors
- Linear — the source of your issues and projects, accessed with the token you grant.
- Supabase (PostgreSQL) — database hosting.
- Railway — API hosting.
- Vercel — dashboard and marketing site hosting.
- Stripe — payment processing, only if you subscribe.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data for as long as your workspace is active, because time entries are billing records you may need later. You can ask us to export or delete your workspace at any time by writing to contracts@ridgetech.io. Deletion removes your workspace, its time entries, and the stored Linear token.
Revoking access
You can disconnect Klockwurk from Linear at any time in Linear's own settings, which immediately invalidates our access token. Removing the browser extension deletes the session token held in extension storage.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to contracts@ridgetech.io and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and notify workspace admins by email.
